Continuing the dutch food porn with the sweet stuff

1. Appeltaart - basically just applecake but the dutch do it better, lemon and cinnamon

2. Koek - gingery cinnamony mixed spice bread stuff that tastes incredible with butter and a cuppa

3. Appleflappen - “apple flaps” - basically apple turnovers, but again, we just do them better

4. Oliebollen - fried batter with raisins and spices and stuff - we eat them at new years in my house

5. Poffertjes - teeny pancakes cooked in dimple trays and served with icing sugar and butter - best eaten on the beach off a paper plate with a plastic fork. Also found  a lovely dutch lady in Camden that makes them

6. Tompoes - thin layer of pastry, wedge of confectioners cream, thin layer of pastry, thin layer pink icing = heaven. Best bought from the Hema.
